Herbal Tea is a very tasty option when we talk about hot beverages. Herbal Tea contains a lot of vitamins and minerals which are suitable for all occasions. Whereas, most common brews contain sugar and caffeine, with very little health benefits. Therefore, from soothing upset tummies to reducing stress, herbal teas have all sorts of medicinal qualities that have been used for years. Hence, we made a list of some of the top health advantages of regularly drinking various herbal teas.

Green Tea

Green tea is a healthy beverage that can help you feel better, look younger, lose weight, lower your risk of chronic diseases,lower your risk of cancer and much more. Therefore, this miracle beverage is effective at fighting everything from cancer to acne.

Peppermint Tea

Peppermint tea relieves the symptoms of abdominal gas and bloating, as well as muscle cramps. It is good for soothing nausea too by breaking down fats in the digestive system. Therefore, peppermint will help reduces your stress level, but it will also help release any muscular tension.

Chamomile Tea

Chamomile tea can be helpful for those suffering from insomnia. The gentle and calming properties make for a heavily relaxing brew just before bed. The tea can be helpful with digestion after a meal, and can also ease cases a cough and bronchitis when tackling a cold or fever. Or even as a liquid to gargle for inflammation of the mouth.

Ginger Tea

Similarly to peppermint, another helpful digestive aid is ginger. Nothing beats cold in the winter like a piping hot cup of ginger tea. With its high levels of Vitamin C, magnesium and other minerals, ginger root is extremely beneficial for health. Once made into tea, you can add peppermint, honey or lemon to mask the taste of the ginger.

Rooibos Tea

Rooibos has a whole host of health benefits, including being high in vitamin C and other minerals. Largely grown in South Africa, rooibos tea has been acclaimed for its antioxidant properties.  Research suggests it may help ward off disease as well as premature signs of aging. Rooibos has also been shown to aid with common skin worries, such as the likes of eczema, on top of easing nagging headaches and bone weakness.

Fennel Tea

This Mediterranean herb is well known for its anti-spasmodic qualities and used widely in Mediterranean food. Working by relaxing the muscles in the intestines to help treat constipation, as well as colic and flatulence.  Fennel is also a good body detox remedy as it is diuretic, meaning it pushes the urge to urinate more to rid internal systems of toxins.
