Smart Ways to Add Apple Cider Vinegar to Your Diet

If you’ve ever tried drinking acv as a health tonic, you’ll know that it’s pretty hard to swallow. Here are smart ways to take this weight loss and gut hero:

Salad Dressing: Use apple cider vinegar in homemade salad dressings instead of balsamic vinegar.

Morning Smoothie: Add 2 tablespoons to your morning smoothie for an extra energy kick, but be careful, it has a pretty strong taste, so just add a little at a time.

How to Use It in the Morning Other Then Smoothie? Start your morning with a 6 or 8 ounce glass of water mixed with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and little honey. You can also add the vinegar to any juice.

Make a Marinade: Use as a marinade for meat, chicken, and vegetables. A vinegar marinade works well mixed with equal parts of olive oil.

Poached Eggs:  Splash a little apple cider vinegar into your poaching water instead of your normal vinegar.

Add it in Pop Corn: If you love popcorn and want a low calorie substitute for butter, fill a spray bottle with apple cider vinegar and finely spray the popcorn and top with a little salt or pepper.

Use it on Fruits & Vegetables: Rinse your fruits and vegetables with vinegar. This adds some vinegar to your diet and also removes harmful bacteria and pesticides.

Add It to Tea With Honey: Another easy way to down apple cider vinegar is to add it to your morning tea. Try adding one tablespoon to a cup of hot green or oolong tea, and don’t forget to add honey to help it go down smooth.

Pickle Stuff:  A quick pickling method is simply to layer, in a jar, whatever vegetable is being pickled with whatever flavors, spices and herbs, we want. Fill the rest of the jar with apple cider vinegar and let it all get nice, nice for a couple of days. Then, start eating. It’ll last for at least a couple of weeks in the fridge.

Hot Sauce: Whipping up a homemade hot sauce is something of an easy culinary project that pays big dividends. Plus, you can funk it up a little more but using apple cider vinegar rather than the typical distilled white, and then it’s a spicy health tonic as well.
