The Mediterranean sardines dish is super healthy and super tasty. It is perfect for lunch or dinner as a low carb meal. it will impress any guest and you can also have it as your healthy evening dinner.

The sardines can be either fresh sardines or canned ones. When i can’t find fresh sardines I like to use high-quality sardines in a glass jar for this Mediterranean Sardines recipe.  Make sure you use high-quality sardines preferably in olive oil.

Although i prefer Sardines for this dish you can replace them with other small fish or even tuna. To keep the Mediterranean taste i recommend to keep the sardines. Adding the Moroccan chard leaves as a side dish makes it a perfect meal.

Heat on medium heat stove the coconut oil and olive oil.
Add chopped papers (cut to cubes) and 2 grated carrots. Close pot lid
After a few mins when everything gets softer add the chopped scallions close the pot and keep cooking for 5 min.

Move the veggies to the side and add the Sardines.
Add the paprika on the sardines and the coriander and the lemon .
Let the sardines grilled for a little more and add the turmeric and black pepper. cook for 10 min
