Directions
Many people ask if the Chicken liver is healthy. Liver, in general, is full of many nutrients and that’s why considered a superfood. I always make sure that the chicken i buy is organic, grass-fed, free-range and pasture-raised. Don’t compromise on the source of your chicken liver, since healthy chicken provides the richest sources of nutrients.
The chicken liver is packed with nutrients, including:
- lots of vitamin b12 –
- high in iron – help with anemia
- Protein –
- COQ10 –
- Detoxing and support liver function
- High in vitamin B6, biotin and folate
- Vitamin A -Vitamin A acts as an antioxidant and helps reduce inflammation by fighting free radicals.
Chicken livers are super delicious, nutritious and a cheap way to provide the proteins and essential vitamins in your diet. Experts recommend eating internal organs about once a week. You don’t need to consume a lot in order to enjoy the benefits of the liver.
The chicken liver is super easy to make. There are plenty of recipes, but, I prefer to use a simple recipe. I simply fry onions in organic ghee and then add the chicken liver and spices. Cook it until done (but not too much). It is great to serve the chicken liver with sweet potato puree, cauliflower with tahini and a salad.
