The fried cabbage is super simple yet a delicious side dish. It’s a great option for a low carb meal or as an additional side dish. I decided to make this recipe with onions and garlic, but you can use just the cabbage and it’s still so tasty.

It takes about 2-3 min to cut the cabbage and another 10 min on the stove so simple anyone can make this fried cabbage. I use grass fed ghee butter for frying. I used to make my own ghee but lately, I’m using 4th & heart grass-fed ghee. I also really like organic valley ghee but it’s a little more expensive.

Cabbage is a healthy choice. Its packed with fibers so great with weight loss and weight management. In addition to fibers, the cabbage is packed with nutrients including:

  • vitamin C,K, B6
  • Magnesium
  • potassium
  • calcium
  • Manganese
  • folate
  • protein

In addition, cabbage may also help lower the risk of diseases and combat inflammation. It is a cheap and healthy choice and can fit any diet.

1. Shredd the cabbage, don't worry it looks like a lot but it shrinks at the stove. Cut the onions and mashed and cut the garlic. (The onions and garlic are optional it's still great without them too)
2. Heat a big pan with grass-fed ghee butter and fry the onions a little bit add the garlic just before it's ready and 30 seconds after adding the cabbage.
3. Keep it on low heat for about 10 min or until it soften while stirring occasionally.
4. Once the cabbage has softened add 1/2 TBSP ACV (optional), stir well and add salt and paper. Taste and serve hot.
