The Halloumi cheese origin in Cyprus, but these days you can find it in any market. The halloumi cheese is usually made from a mix of goat and sheep milk. The cheese as a high melting point and it’s perfect to fry in a pan.

Personally, I love salads, especially the Mediterranean type. I eat every day a salad usually an Arabic salad or Chopped Salad – Mediterranean Style. The halloumi salad is a refreshing mix of my salad’s routine.

Making this salad is super simple and you can play with the ingredients as much as you like. The basic ingredients i used are cherry tomatoes, red onion, arugula, avocado, and the halloumi cheese. The dressing includes high-quality cold press virgin olive oil, lemon, salt, and balsamic vinegar. Change the ingredients to your liking. You can add cucumber, pepper. You can replace the arugula with lettuce. be creative and make the salad you love.

To make the halloumi cheese, I simply heated a grill pan. When the pan is how I added the cheese and grilled it for 1 min on each side. To get the nice X marks on the cheese simply move the cheese after 30 seconds.
