Directions
This Greek chicken in yogurt and Lemon Marinade is another fabulous recipe. The mix of chicken with yogurt is a classic Greek recipe. The lemon adds a great taste, especially for the lemon lovers.
Try to get a high-quality free-range chicken that grows without antibiotics and is fed organic toxin-free food. The quality of the chicken is crucial. Pair this chicken with fried cabbage and roasted cauliflower in lemon for a complete Mediterranean low carb meal. Try vegetable buckwheat as a side dish if you’re not following low carb diet.
To make the marinade for the Greek chicken in yogurt most recipes are using traditional cow Greek yogurt, however, I prefer to make it with goat cheese yogurt. I used boneless skinless chicken but you can also use chicken breast.
I think that what sets this Greek chicken in yogurt apart and make it such a fun recipe is the mix of the yogurt with lemon and chicken together. Similar to the Indian kitchen, the Greek kitchen also mixes yogurt with their meat to get a wonderful twist for their main dishes. I love this mix it gives the chicken a fabulous fun taste and makes it a fun dish that everyone loves, even the kids.
