Directions
This healthy chopped salad, as well as other Healthy salads, are stapled in the Meditteranean diet. One of the benefits of eating a Meditteranean diet is the significantly higher consumption of veggies compared to the American diet. The healthiest and known salads are the Arabic salad, Israeli salad and Greek salad.
There are endless versions of healthy salads I make at home. Once you start eating salads on a daily basis you will not understand how did you skip the salad before.
The dressing of this salad is key for having a great salad. Unlike the store-bought dressing, I made the dressing for this healthy chopped salad from olive oil, lemon and salt. This is a very healthy dressing that adds to the salad and makes it even more nutritious. Beware of store-bought dressings. They may have calories you didn’t plan to consume and low-quality ingredients. Keeping and healthy and yummy dressing is the key for a great healthy salad that can support weight loss.
Remember when making the salad dressing follow these simple steps (don’t change anything):
- First, start with high-quality salt – I like to use Himalayan pink salt
- Second, use high-quality extra virgin olive oil
- Lastly, squeeze a lot of lemons and stir everything together.
Another important tip: make sure your vegetables are organic especially those who are high in pesticides.
