Oven-baked sea bass with greens can be found in many Mediterranean kitchens. It is a simple dish that you can make at home easily for a family dinner. I found a large sea bass (3 lb) that was enough for the entire family, but you can buy smaller ones for individual serving. I like to serve the sea bass with greens with our famous cauliflower in anchovies tahini and a great healthy salad for perfect low carb meal. If you don’t opt in for the low carb option a side of sweet potatoes in pesto is a great choice too.

Fish are an important nutrient and a big part of the healthy Mediterranean kitchen. Putting aside the ocean pollution, toxins and fish farming, there are many benefits for consuming fish:

Benefits of eating fish

  • Fish are an important source for omega 3 which is essential fat for our brain and heart
  • They can help lower depression symptoms
  • Great source for Vitamin D – many people suffer from vitamin d deficiency
  • Improve vision
  • Help sleeping better
  • Helps lower cholesterol
  • Fish lowers the risk of cancer
  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Speed up your metabolism and help with weight management and weight loss
