Classic Chicken in Creamy Mushroom Sauce recipe. One of my favorite things about the Meditteranean low carb life is the fact that I can enjoy creamed food again. I made this chicken sauce just to make the chicken more fun and to get more fat for lunch. I actually planned to have my usual chicken in lemon and oregano. When I opened the fridge I saw leftovers of mushrooms and heavy cream and I had to use them.
Making a creamy sauce couldn’t be easier, it takes minutes and it’s always tasty. I remember when growing up creamy food was everywhere and I always loved it. So, with my low carb lifestyle, I can enjoy creamy food again but with my own adaptations to make it healthier.
Instructions:
To make this dish you can just fry or grill your chicken breast the way you like. In a pot or in the same pan you made the chicken you need to add grass-fed ghee or grass-fed butter and cook the garlic with mushrooms. when ready simply add the heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Salt and pepper if you need, personally I only added pepper and let it simmer for about 10 min on low heat, stirring occasionally. 2 min before it’s ready just add the chicken to the sauce and you serve this perfect Chicken in Creamy Mushroom Sauce.
